I’m a writer, editor, and communications strategist navigating within the realm of architecture and design. I owe my love of buildings, places, and intersecting histories to growing up in New York City, a place that continues to beguile me.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Design & Environmental Analysis from Cornell University, and a Master of Arts in Design Research, Writing, and Criticism from the School of Visual Arts, where I wrote a thesis examining the production and semiotics of architectural renderings. I’ve worked in marketing and communications at New York architecture firms, and as an editor at Architectural Record and Interior Design magazines. I am currently an editor at The New York Review of Architecture. My writing has been featured in The New York Times, Metropolis, The Architect’s Newspaper, and CityLab. I also contributed to the book Design for Children, published by Phaidon in 2018. I am currently accepting freelance writing and editing projects.
Sometimes I like cutting up old magazines and making collages.
